Orem road project is ahead of schedule

A $5 million road-reconstruction project in Orem is 45 days ahead of schedule and will continue to go smoothly if the weather cooperates, said Orem city project manager Morris Flygare. The first phase of the 1600 North project was scheduled to run from April 3 to June 5, with crews working on 1030 West to 600 West. The construction allows for new underground utilities and physical reconstruction, including the addition of storm drains.
