A woman who allegedly admitted to shooting and killing her husband Sunday was charged with murder Monday.

Police say Vickie Marie Ruiz, 43, learned of her husband's behavior involving another woman and man during a party at the couple's Brigham City home Saturday night. Ruiz allegedly walked into a motor home where her husband, John Matthew Ruiz, 44, was with the other couple, and shot him in the chest.

The 911 call was made by Ruiz herself and she allegedly told dispatchers what she had done.

A murder weapon was reportedly recovered from the motor home and Ruiz was booked into jail.

Court documents filed in 1st District Court Monday state she has been charged with first-degree murder. She is being held in the Box Elder County Jail on $150,000 bail.
