SOFTBALL: Despite scoring first, the Utah State softball team dropped its season finale with a 4-1 loss to Hawaii Saturday night in WAC softball action at UH's Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium. Utah State finishes its season with an 8-38 overall and 3-14 WAC ledger.

BASEBALL: The University of Utah baseball team salvaged its trip to Texas Christian University Sunday afternoon. The Utes avoided being swept by the Horned Frogs, picking up a 6-3 win at Lupton Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas.

Utah (23-22, 6-10 MWC) got a solid pitching performance from Lucas Trinnaman and Brad DeVore in the victory. Trinnaman (2-3) worked seven innings and scattered nine hits and three runs to take the victory. DeVore pitched the final two innings and allowed just one baserunner to pick up his sixth save.
