Marie-Louise McMullen, former adult service director of the YWCA for Salt Lake City, died Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital in Salt Lake City at the age of 89.
Mrs. McMullen officiated as adult service director for the local YWCA for eight years. She also handled immigration and veteran affairs as a caseworker for Rep. Wayne Owens, D-Utah, and Rep. Karen Shepherd, D-Utah.
Since 1969, Mrs. McMullen was also an active member of PEO Chapter D, a service organization for women. She enjoyed collecting antique dolls, and served as president of the Salt Lake Doll Council.
She was born June 21, 1916 and was the mother of former Salt Lake City Mayor Deedee Corradini.
A memorial service will be Saturday at Wasatch Presbyterian Church, 1700 E. 1626 South. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to the PEO Continuing Education Fund, Chapter D, or to the Music Fund at Wasatch Presbyterian Church.
