PROVO — A bomb scare that forced the closure of the East Bay Post Office in Provo on Friday morning turned out to be a false alarm.

Workers found an unmarked box, sealed with duct tape, shortly before 10 a.m. Wednesday.

A bomb squad used a robot to open the package, which contained some women's clothing and a Pilates workout video.

Police found some letters in the box that led them to a woman in northeast Provo, who said she had entered the post office lobby earlier Wednesday to mail the package, but became distracted and forgot about it, leaving the package on the lobby floor when she left.
