The artists of three comic strips that run in the Deseret Morning News have been nominated for the most prestigious award in the comics industry.
Bill Amend, creator of "Fox Trot"; Brian Crane, who does "Pickles"; and Dan Piraro, cartoonist for "Bizarro," are all in the running for the Reuben Award, bestowed each year by the National Cartoonist Society. Editorial cartoonist Mike Luckovich and Dave Coverly, creator of "Speed Bump," are the other nominees.
The award will be presented May 27 in Chicago.
