Attending the program: Those wanting to attend the broadcast must be in their Conference Center seats by 8:45 a.m. Sunday. The "Legacy of Music" program begins at 9 a.m., followed by "Music and the Spoken Word" at 9:30 a.m. and a brief program at 10 a.m. that includes live remarks by President Gordon B. Hinckley of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and others.
The program is open to the public, ages 8 and older. No tickets are required. Doors open at 8 a.m. Parking below the Conference Center will be open to the public and free.
Broadcast details: The program can be heard live at 9:30 a.m. Sunday on KSL radio (AM-1160 and FM-102.7) and seen live on KSL-TV, Ch. 5.
The 30-minute special "Legacy of Music" program will air at 10 a.m. on KSL-TV. It will examine the long history of the broadcasts.
(Special remarks by President Hinckley, Bonneville International President/CEO Bruce Reese and others will be heard only by the audience inside the Conference Center and will not be broadcast.)
A repeat broadcast will air 3 p.m. Sunday on KBYU-TV, Ch. 11. The "Legacy" show will follow at 3:30 p.m.
BYU-TV, on cable and satellite, will rebroadcast both programs at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday. BYU-TV will also rebroadcast the program several times in May.
