2000 — Art Henderson is hired as an officer with the Lehi Police Department.

2004 — Henderson fights with former friend, charged with class B misdemeanor of assault. He is fired from Lehi Police Department.

2005 — Henderson charged with class B misdemeanors of simple assault and making a terroristic threat after disagreement with his estranged wife's boyfriend, Craig Trimble.

January 2005 — Natalie Barnes Henderson files for a divorce.

February 2005 — Natalie Barnes Henderson files for a protective order.

March 2005 — A Utah Justice Court jury convicts Henderson of the class B misdemeanor of assault.

December 2005 — Henderson and Trimble have another scuffle; Henderson is charged again with misdemeanor assault.

January 2006 — Henderson's father is hospitalized with a heart condition. Henderson also has a review hearing before a board at the Utah Peace Officers Standards and Training Academy to consider revoking his license.

Jan. 27 — Henderson chases Natalie Barnes Henderson and Trimble down a Lehi street while shooting at them. He shoots Trimble several times and fires at Lehi officers. They shoot him in the knee and foot. Trimble recovers.

Feb. 6 — Henderson is charged in 4th District Court with attempted aggravated murder, unlawful discharge of a firearm, aggravated assault and criminal mischief.

Feb. 17 — Henderson's police certification is suspended for four years as a result of the class B misdemeanor conviction in 2004.

March 31 — Henderson waives right to a preliminary hearing and enters not-guilty pleas to all charges. A judge sets his bail at $250,000 cash-only.

April 20 — Henderson is found dead in his cell at the Salt Lake County Metro Jail.
