U. shouldn't feature Miller

I will not be attending "Discover U Days." By bringing in a speaker — Larry H. Miller — who has offended so many with his bigoted business decisions, organizers have made a terrible mistake. I love the U. I am not boycotting. Nor am I opposing any person's right to express his views.

The argument has been made that free speech rights are more important than Miller's views and actions. But would the University of Utah endorse a racist speaker? A misogynistic speaker?

Bigotry is bigotry. Discrimination is discrimination. Hate is hate. I am deeply disappointed in the decision to feature Larry H. Miller at "Discover U Days."
