Jared Page's article (April 11) covering Soulforce Equality Ride's BYU rally was refreshing. He did a wonderful job covering the story of Matt Kulisch, the current BYU student who shared his thoughts about being gay at BYU. It would be fantastic if other gay members of the LDS Church and other faiths spoke more openly to the unique challenges they face. It would be equally beneficial if heterosexual members of a variety of churches would encourage open, honest and understanding communication with their gay friends and loved ones.
