TUCSON, Ariz. The Tucson Sidewinders scored four runs in the seventh inning to rally to an 8-6 win over the Salt Lake Bees on Sunday afternoon to salvage the final game of the four-game series.
Trailing 5-4 going into the inning, Tucson tied the game on a pinch-hit RBI single by Jerry Gil and took the lead on a two-run double by Donnie Sadler. They would add another run on a bases-loaded walk by reliever Jason Bulger to former Salt Lake Stinger Alberto Callaspo. All four runs were charged to Jonathon Rouwenhorst (0-1).
Trailing 1-0, the Bees took the lead with five unearned runs in the second inning. Adam Pavkovich tied the game with a sacrifice fly, and Salt Lake moved ahead on back-to-back two run singles by Erick Aybar and Howie Kendrick. Aybar drove in ten runs in the series, as the Bees took three out of four from the Sidewinders.
Salt Lake travels to Las Vegas to open a four-game series tonight against the 51s, who opened the season with a four-game series sweep of Fresno.
