ST. GEORGE SkyWest Airlines said Thursday it has made changes to its southern Utah service after losing its bid to continue "essential air service" at Cedar City.
The changes take effect May 7.
SkyWest lost out to Mesa Airlines to provide the EAS program for Cedar City. It said Cedar City passengers already holding tickets for travel on or after May 7 will be contacted for re-accommodations by either Delta Air Lines directly or by their booking source. Ticketed passengers will have the option of using Mesa's new service from Cedar City, using SkyWest's service into and out of St. George, or receiving a full refund.
SkyWest said passengers should contact Delta reservations at 800-221-1212 or their booking source if they have any additional questions.
SkyWest also said it will add en eighth daily round trip between Salt Lake City and St. George and add a morning nonstop flight to Salt Lake.
