What a joke! Wade Williams of the Boyer Co. is quoted as saying: "I don't believe in my career I've ever been involved in a process quite like this, where, literally, we did get the entire community of Sandy involved" (April 1).

If by "we" he means Sandy city or the Boyer Co., this should be seen as nothing more than a self-serving spin so he can pat himself on the back. The Boyer Co. and many Sandy city officials fought the efforts of Save Our Communities every step of the way. Don't kid yourself. Wal-Mart's money and Boyer's PR firm may be able to buy a vote, but they can't buy citizen involvement.
