Josh Swenson

Lehi Pioneers

Class: Sophomore

Sport: Baseball

Position: Pitcher/third base

The numbers: Starting his second varsity game ever against Union last week, Swenson turned in the rarest pitching accomplishment possible. In Lehi's 4-0 win, he pitched a perfect game and struck out 14 batters. He threw only 80 pitches, and only three balls were hit out of the infield. In nine innings on the mound this season he's fanned 20 batters, walked four and allowed only four hits. His earned-run-average is 0.77. Also, Swenson is batting .286 with five RBIs for the season.

Natalie Stewart

Spanish Fork Dons

Class: Sophomore

Sport: Track

Events: Sprints

The numbers: At last week's Utah High School Track Coaches Association Invitational, Stewart sprinted to three individual victories (100, 200 and 400 meters) and anchored the Dons' winning effort in the 4x100-meter relay. She has swept all three individual distances at the UHSTCA, Bulldog Invitational and Kearns Icebreaker meets so far this season. Natalie, a 4.0 student, also won the No. 2 final of the 400 in 56.23 seconds at the 2006 Simplot Games and received an invitational to New York for the National Indoor Finals.
