ST. GEORGE For the second time in less than three months, an Ivins man has been Tasered in a confrontation with police officers near the St. George Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Police said Cody Calegory, 32, of Ivins, was near 1000 East and 100 South, walking toward the temple Sunday night, when officers stopped him. Calegory was naked, said St. George Police Sgt. Craig Harding.
In January, police said they had to use Tasers on Calegory after he became violent and combative inside the visitors center of the LDS Church's St. George Temple. At the time, Calegory told police he was God, Harding said.
"He told the officers he hadn't taken his medication in over a month," Harding said Monday.
