Judge Memorial should repeat in 3A, led by an amazing distance tandem of Andrew Hirning, Jason Heckle, Nick Gaitin, Eliel Hindret and Luke Puskedra. Bear River, runner-up last year, returns runnesr Tanner Chadaz and Wade Hirschi, while Logan comes in with runners Adam Mecham and James Drake. Other top returners are Cedar's John Hart and Park City's Prescott McCarthy. This would appear to be Judge Memorial's category to win.

In 2A and 1A, defending champs are Juan Diego and Duchesne respectively. The Soaring Eagles were hurt by graduation, but will be paced by Andy Brigelwill and challenged by Juab, led by Russ Nielson and Tyler Richens. North Summit's Jordan Snyder and Nathan Fowles, Enterprise's Skyler Foremaster and Manti's Daniel Howell will lead their respective teams. Most of last year's top 1A stars have graduated, leaving this class wide open. Top returners are Oakley's Heitsley Aaron, Escalante's Jose Bustillos, Monticello's Matt Nielson, and Wayne's Jesse King. St. Joseph of Ogden comes in with distance stars Brian Paskey, Ben Cilwick and Colter Gilliland.

The next large scale invitationals are on April 22, at Panguitch (smaller schools) and Taylorsville. The Davis High Invite is on April 29, along with the Viking relays in Pleasant Grove, followed by the two-day BYU Invitational May 5 and 6, and the state finals at BYU May 19 and 20.
