TRAX service boosted for general conference crowds

TRAX service will be enhanced today and Sunday to accommodate people attending the general conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in downtown Salt Lake City.

Utah Transit Authority announced the following schedule changes:

Today: TRAX will operate on a regular Saturday schedule, with four additional trains leaving the Sandy Civic Center Station at 8:04 a.m., 12:04 p.m., 12:21 p.m. and 4:21. The first train leaves the station at 5:14 a.m.

Sunday: TRAX service will begin earlier than normal, with the first northbound train from Sandy leaving at 7:59 a.m. Additional trains will leave at 8:19 a.m., 12:19 p.m. and 12:52 p.m.

The first train from the University of Utah Medical Center Station will depart at 10:08 a.m.

TRAX service runs every 20 minutes. Closest to the LDS Conference Center are the City Center and Temple Square stations.
