• A water-wise gardening series is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. on alternating Saturdays at the Anderson-Foothill Branch of the Salt Lake City Library, 1135 S. 2100 East. Topics include "Water-wise Plants" on April 8 and "Gardening How-To" on April 22. For more information, call 594-8611.

• The Utah Orchid Society will hold a show at Red Butte Garden from 9 a.m.-7:30 p.m. on Saturday, and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday. Regular garden admission applies.
