OREM Robert Millet, a former religion professor at Brigham Young University, will be a keynote speaker at the sixth annual Mormon Studies Conference, "Mormonism and the Christian Tradition," today and Friday at Utah Valley State College.
Millet, former Ancient Scripture department chair and dean of religious education at BYU, now works for the LDS Church as a manager of outreach and interfaith relations.
The conference will also include panel discussions and lectures by professors of theology, philosophy and religion from Southern Virginia University, the University of Scranton, Western Carolina University, UVSC and the Salt Lake Theological Seminary.
The conference is free and open to the public. The Thursday session will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Sorensen Student Center, Room 213b, and Friday's classes will begin at 9 a.m. in the Losee Center, Room 243.
