PROVO The International Society's 17th annual conference will be April 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Brigham Young University.
The free conference, which will be in the Harold B. Lee Library Auditorium, will focus on international challenges facing The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The keynote speaker will be Elder Donald L. Staheli, a member of the Second Quorum of the Seventy.
Among other topics, speakers will address international religious-liberty issues and health concerns facing church volunteers.
Also, William F. Atkin, associate general counsel for the LDS Church, will receive the society's Distinguished Service Award. A luncheon at which he will receive the award costs $11.25 and will be in Rooms 3220-3222 of the Wilkinson Student Center.
