Endora (Agnes Moorehead), Samantha (Elizabeth Montgomery) and Darrin (Dick York) in "Bewitched."
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment
"Bewitched: The Complete Third Season" (Sony, 1966-67, not rated, $39.95, four discs). The fantasy sitcom about a witch (Elizabeth Montgomery) married to a mortal (Dick York), with protestations from her mother (Agnes Moorehead) and pranks by her uncle (Paul Lynde). This season also brings baby Tabitha to the fore, with a few pranks of her own. And it's in color, as opposed to Colorized.
Extras: Full frame, 33 episodes, language and subtitle options (English, Spanish, Portuguese), chapters.
"Over There: The Complete Series" (Fox, 2005, not rated, $39.98, four discs). The first series to deal with a war while that war is still going on is a look at soldiers in Iraq. And it's an impressive TV drama, with well-drawn characters and tough stories. It's also very R-rated in its presentation, particularly the gory violence and the profane language (which was bleeped when it ran on basic-cable station FX).
Extras: Widescreen, 13 episodes, audio commentaries, making-of featurettes, language options (English, Spanish), subtitle option (English, Spanish, French), chapters.
"Three's Company: Season Six" (Anchor Bay, 1981-82, not rated, $29.98, four discs). John Ritter's knack for physical comedy continues to get the most laughs in this sixth season. Jack (Ritter) and Janet (Joyce DeWitt) welcome new roommate Terri (Priscilla Barnes), with clumsy Cindy (Jenilee Harrison) also on hand. And, of course, the great Don Knotts as deluded landlord Mr. Furley. But this set's best feature is the inclusion of a 1982 "best-of" special hosted by Lucille Ball.
Extras: Full frame, 28 episodes, audio commentary (director Dave powers), "The Best of Three's Company" one episode in Polish, optional English subtitles, chapters.
"The White Shadow: The Complete Second Season" (Fox, 1979-80, not rated, $39.98, four double-sided discs). A retired Chicago Bulls forward (Ken Howard) coaches basketball in an inner-city Los Angeles high school in this well-made hourlong drama. The second season deals with such tough issues as sexual disease and abusive parents, and the team heads for the city championship.
Extras: Full frame, 24 episodes, audio commentaries, making-of featurettes, subtitle options (English, Spanish), chapters.
