The Salt Lake Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners will hold its first "NAWBO U" conference March 31 at the Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City.
Jointly hosted by NAWBO and the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business, this new event is designed to provide information about starting and growing a business. This year, Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. will present NAWBO-SLC's Women Business Owner of the Year award.
The half-day conference, "Moving Business Forward," will run from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Celeste Gleave, president and chief executive officer of Fyve Star Inc., a Utah-based woman-owned business, will be the keynote speaker. Workshops will provide information on emotionally intelligent leadership, networking, entrepreneurship and business financing.
The cost to attend is $75 for NAWBO members, U. faculty and staff; $90 for guests; and $15 for students. The lunch-only fee is $25. For more information or to register, call 801-487-4600 or go online to www.nawboslc.org.
