Red Butte Garden is raising admission rates, beginning April 1, to help cover rising expenses.
The new rates will be $6 for adults and $4 for children ages 3-17, senior citizens age 65 and up, and University of Utah faculty and staff with valid ID.
Children under age 3 will be admitted free, as will U. students with a valid ID.
A new exhibit, "Jurassic Garden: A Dinosaur Invasion at Red Butte Garden," opens May 13 with a "Dinofest" from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The exhibit is a family-friendly dinosaur display created by artist Guy Darrough.
Red Butte is the largest established botanical garden that tests, displays and interprets regional horticulture within a 400-mile radius. For more information visit www.redbuttegarden.org.
