Three Republicans — John Tinsley and Garr P. Judd, both of Orem, and Keith Grover of Provo — and Democrat Susan Chasson of Provo are vying for the Dayton's House seat in District 61.

Three candidates have filed for the District 58 House seat: Rep. James A. Ferrin, R-Orem, Stephen E. Sandstrom and Dave Merrill, both Republicans from Orem.

Rep. Becky Lockhart, R-Provo, will face Democrat Kenneth B. Peay of Spanish Fork in District 64; and Rep. David N. Cox, R-Lehi, is being challenged in District 56 by Kenneth W. Sumsion, a Republican from American Fork.

Most House incumbents who have filed thus far are running uncontested: Rep. John Dougall, R-American Fork, District 27; Rep. Craig A. Frank, R-Pleasant Grove, District 57; Rep. Lorie D. Fowlke, R-Orem, District 59; Rep. Bradley Daw, R-Orem, District 60; Rep. Jeff Alexander, R-Provo, District 62; Rep. Steve Clark, R-Provo, District 63; Rep. Aaron J.
