2005 Bode Miller becomes the first American in 22 years to win skiing's overall World Cup title. He finishes ahead of his only remaining challenger, Benjamin Raich of Austria, in the season's final giant slalom to capture the crown. 2005 Florida sophomore Kerron Clement sets a world record in the 400 meters at the NCAA indoor track and field championships. Clement's time of 44.57 seconds breaks the mark of 44.63.
