Art Access, 339 W. Pierpont, will host a demonstration on the wet plate collodion photography method on Saturday, March 25, at 2 p.m., by photographer Quinn Jacobson. Attendance is limited and RSVP is required. Call 328-0703.

The Intermountain Society of Artists will have its monthly meeting Tuesday evening at 7 at Wheeler Historic Farm, 6351 S. 900 East. The meeting will feature a lecture and demonstration by Kent Wallis. For further information e-mail MWrightStraight@aol.com.

The Utah Arts Council is announcing a call for entries for its DesignArts Utah '06 Exhibition. Deadline submission is April 28. The exhibition will be June 16-July 28 at the Rio Gallery, 300 S. 455 West. Submission forms are available online at arts.utah.gov, or by calling 533-3585 or 533-3586.

The Salt Lake Art Center, 20 S. West Temple, will host another Art Talk on Wednesday evening at 7. Salt Lake journalist and art writer, Ann Poore, will present "Lee Deffebach, a Utah Abstract Expressionist." The event is free and open to the public.

The Meyer Gallery will premiere a new sculpture, "The Gatekeeper," by Dave McGary at its Park City gallery, 305 Main, today from 6-8 p.m. "The Gatekeeper," a bronze with patina and paint, is the final piece in McGary's Strongheart Warrior series.
