Your editorial on Draper's refusal to allow a new Deseret Industries store in the heart of their business district hit the nail on the head. It is time for members of the City Council to grow up and not listen to the selfish, misinformed and misguided business interests of a few who do not understand the hearts and minds of Draper residents.
Speaking for my family and the people of Draper I know, we wholeheartedly welcome Deseret Industries to Draper. We know the value of having such a facility in our midst. We will donate to the store; we will shop there; we know people who will work there, and we know that the lives of many people will be greatly enriched by the Draper D.I.
I sincerely hope that it is not too late for the Draper City Council to support their mayor and revisit this shortsighted decision.
