FORTY-SEVEN YEARS AGO — Hogle Zoo's elephant enclosure was much simpler back in 1959. Shown is Kali, the former zoo's elephant decades ago. In the summer of 2005, Hogle Zoo opened its new Elephant Encounters exhibit.
