VITA — Volunteers and translators needed to help low-income people prepare their taxes.

American Diabetes Association — Help is needed on March 25 with Diabetes Expo 2006, a one-day health fair dedicated to diabetes, healthy eating and active living.

Utah Cultural Celebration Center — Volunteers needed to assist with the Arnold Friberg, Ten Commandments Exhibit. Day and evening shifts are available for gallery docents, ticket takers, etc. March 18-May 26.

Ronald McDonald House — Volunteers needed at reception desk for 3 hours during the day Monday through Thursday. Minimum commitment of six months.

Hillside Rehabilitation Center — Looking for volunteers to work as burgundy ladies and receptionists. Four hour shifts available.

Utah G.A.R.D.E.N.S. Inc. — Volunteers and volunteer administration needed for community gardens and youth-gardening program. The goal is to donate 5,000 to 10,000 pounds of food to the needy while promoting community gardening.

The Salt Lake City Mission — Needs 80-120 volunteers for dinner celebrating 14 years of outreach to the homeless and 20 years of ministry in the S.L. area. Dinner is April 7 at Thanksgiving Point.

Accessible Homes Foundation — Looking for volunteers who can help maintain its Web site. Needed skills are: XHTML, PHP, CSS, Javascript and familiarity with Web Accessibility Standards. Details of above skills can be taught.

Red Butte Garden — Volunteers needed for school programs. Lead weekly, two-hour field classes. Training Monday and Wednesday, March 20-29, 9 a.m.-noon.

The Children's Museum of Utah — Needs volunteers to interact with visitors and lead crafts and activities as well as cleaning and general maintenance of exhibits and galleries. four hours per month. Must participate in orientations held periodically throughout the year.
