2006 legislation on transportation

• SB80 Called the "toll road" bill. Authorizes the state to enter into "public-private partnerships" to build toll roads. A majority of the House and Senate approved this bill and it looks likely to be signed by the governor.

• HB112 Approved easily by the House and Senate and signed by the governor. Dedicates a funding stream to transportation and makes it harder to take money from transportation to fund other state programs.

• Funding. Transportation received a record $190 million in new dollars.
