2006 legislation on transportation

SB80 Called the "toll road" bill. Authorizes the state to enter into "public-private partnerships" to build toll roads. A majority of the House and Senate approved this bill and it looks likely to be signed by the governor.

HB112 Approved easily by the House and Senate and signed by the governor. Dedicates a funding stream to transportation and makes it harder to take money from transportation to fund other state programs.

Funding. Transportation received a record $190 million in new dollars.
