• HB371 authorizes all counties to levy a 1.25 percent tax on hotel accommodations to pay for tourism projects. Could help pay for part of the Real Salt Lake soccer stadium in Sandy. Other counties could use it to expand convention centers.
• SB196, a complete overhaul of redevelopment agency law. Creates three types of RDA projects and tightens the definition of blight. Part of a consensus agreement between schools, municipalities and the Utah Taxpayers Association.
• SB267 and SB268 tighten current zoning laws and expand the office of the Utah Property Rights Ombudsman.
