2 Utah students chosen to have art on display

The work of two Utahns is among that of 30 top students worldwide to be displayed in the Advanced Placement Program's Studio Art exhibit at the Britto Central Gallery in Miami Beach.

They are: "Grandfather's Typewriter," a painting by Provo High graduate and Utah Valley State College freshman Spencer Olsen, and "Crates," photography by Riverton High graduate and Snow College freshman Alison Rigby.

The works, also featured in a Princeton, N.J., gallery last fall, were selected from about 24,000 portfolios submitted in the AP Studio Art evaluations last May.

The exhibit runs Friday through March 10.
