TAYLORSVILLE Homicide detectives were investigating the death of a woman found in her apartment Thursday night.
The woman's husband called police about 6 p.m. to report that he had found her body in the bedroom of their apartment, near 1200 West and 3900 South, Taylorsville Police Chief Larry Marx said.
He said it is unknown how long she had been there or exactly how she died.
"The manner of death is suspicious, and we do believe it to be a homicide, but that is all I can disclose at this time," Marx said.
Police were also looking for the woman's car, a 1998 gray Ford Escort with Ski Utah license plate 586 NAD.
She was last seen by her 8-year-old son when she took him to school in the morning. He went to a friend's home after school when she failed to pick him up. Marx said the woman's husband had spoken to her about 10:30 a.m., but that was the last anyone heard from her.
Anyone with information is asked to call Taylorsville police.
