Brett Camerota and Eric Camerota (twins)

Event: Nordic combined

Born: Salt Lake City, Jan. 1, 1985

Age: 21

Height/weight: 5 feet 6 inches, 130

Hometown: Park City

School: Park City Winter School, Salt Lake Community College

Olympic experience: first Olympics

Torino outlook: In a sport that favors age and experience and has long been dominated by Scandinavians and northern Europeans, the Camerota brothers wouldn't be considered medal contenders even if they competed as one guy. Making the Olympics as 21 year olds is a huge reward and should prove to be a terrific warm-up for Vancouver 2010.

Preston Griffall

Event: Luge (doubles with Dan Joye)

Born: Salt Lake City, June 6, 1984

Age: 21

Height/weight: 5 feet 10 inches, 152

Hometown: Salt Lake City

School: Olympus High School

Olympic experience: first Olympics

Torino outlook: They're the No. 2 U.S. doubles team, behind 2002 silver medalists Mark Grimmette and Brian Martin, but Griffall and Joye should not be overlooked. The tandem teamed up for consecutive world junior championships in both the 2002 and 2003 seasons and registered a fifth-place World Cup finish this season to rank No. 12 in the world.

Steve Holcomb

Event: Bobsled (two-man and four-man)

Born: Salt Lake City, April 14, 1980

Age: 25

Height/weight: 5 feet 10 inches, 200

Hometown: Park City

School: Park City Winter School, University of Utah

Olympic experience: first Olympics
