It's bombs away from long distance, and when they line it up, most of these gunners regularly hit their target. Utah County has its share of shooters from behind the arc who average more than one swished three per game.

But most of these ladies' basketball talents go well beyond just the ability to stop and pop it from 20 feet. They know how to get those shots within the team's offensive framework, and though many have a green light from three-point land, they also know how to drain shorter jumpers too. Many have even learned the fine art of driving to the hoop.

The county's top shooters have many other abilities, but the one that gets them noticed most by the crowd is being able to put three points on the board at the most opportune time.

And the county's top team also boasts the number one bomber as Chelsey Brown hoists them up for Timpanogos on a regular basis.

Chelsey Brown, 5-foot-11 senior guard, Timpanogos: Brown has drained more treys than any other player in Utah County. As of Feb. 6, she'd successfully drilled 33 from long range at an average of 1.83 per game. But though she has the hot touch, Brown is far from a one-shot wonder.

"She's a terrific shooter that has a long range. She also uses the backboard well, drives well and has a sense for the basket," said Timpanogos coach Elizabeth Darger.

Brown is also the team's leading scorer and a captain for the 14-2 Timberwolves, the team that knocked off the Mountain View Bruins just two weeks ago.

Kayla Burningham, 5-foot-8 senior guard, Lehi: This gunner is once again her team's leading scorer, and she can gun it from anywhere on the court. She's quick, can run the floor, drive inside and pop the trey at any time. She's put in 35 from long range this season at a clip of 1.94 per game to lead the 4A.

"She's an awesome player," said Lehi coach Khalil Sikander. "She gets her teammates involved. She's a shooter and a scorer. She can create her own shot and knows how to dish off."

She's an aggressive star that takes this team on her shoulders every night.

Lindsie Wilson, 6-foot-2 senior forward, Orem: Wilson can "do it all" according to her coach, Ross Reed. "She drives to the hole, shoots a high percentage from the free throw line and can shoot the three."

And not only has she sunk more threes than any other player than Burningham in all of the 4A this year with 30 at an average of 1.76 per game, she's done it all with a 6-2 frame. She can play inside with the big bodies and drag the defenders out to the three-point line, where she can shoot over most players' outstretched hands.

Wilson is a captain, and Orem counts on her leadership as well as her all-around abilities every game.
