Bingham's other champion was Spencer Paulson at heavyweight, as Miners' wrestlers won five of the six championship matches they competed in.

"We haven't had great depth, but we've had some quality kids in the lighter weights, and we're fairly solid in the upper weights," said Paulsen.

West Jordan was right behind Bingham with four individual winners, as Nicko Paraso (112), Jeff Job (145), Tyler Jones (160) and Cody Brems all captured their respective titles.

Other Region 3 state champs were: Copper Hills' Josh David's at 135 and Copper Hills' David Williams at 215.

Riverton's 13 state tournament qualifiers was followed closely by Hunter's 12, and 11 each from Bingham and West Jordan. Copper Hills qualified five wrestlers for state, while Kearns qualified two.
