One Steeler, little used cornerback Willie Williams, has had Super Bowl experience, with the Pittsburgh team that lost to Dallas in 1996. That's fewest of any team in league. The Seahawks have five who went with other teams: center Robbie Tobeck, punter Tom Rouen, wide receiver Joe Jurevicius, defensive end Grant Wistrom and defensive tackle Chuck Darby. Pittsburgh is the first sixth seed to reach the Super Bowl.

WARM WEATHER AHEAD

The Super Bowl will take a break from the cold weather for a while. Miami (2007, 2010) will host two of the next four Super Bowls. The other two future sites that have already been determined are Glendale, Ariz. (2008), and Tampa, Fla. (2009).

SUPER FACTS

• The NFC is 8-3 in Super Bowls played in covered stadiums. The NFC is 4-2 in the Louisiana Superdome; 2-0 in the Georgia Dome; 1-0 in the Pontiac Silverdome and Metrodome and 0-1 in Houston's Reliant Stadium.

• The 1982 Super Bowl at the Silverdome in Pontiac, Mich., is still the highest rated (49.1) in league history. People on the East Coast were forced to stay at home and watch television thanks to a massive snowstorm. They saw San Francisco beat Cincinnati 26-21.

• The NFC is 7-0 in Super Bowls broadcast on ABC, a good sign for Seattle.
