Shaun Nua
Team: Pittsburgh
Pro experience: First NFL season
Height: 6-foot-5
Weight: 280 pounds
Acquired: Drafted in the seventh round of the 2005 NFL Draft (228th overall)
College: BYU (2002-04)
Hometown: Pago Pago, American Samoa
How he got there: Nua was a long shot to be drafted last April, but Pittsburgh used its seventh-round pick on the former Cougar, and now he's in the Super Bowl although he likely won't play. Nua's eight sacks and eight tackles for loss with BYU in 2004 were enough to get his name called on Day 2 of the draft. He spent the majority of the season on the Steelers' practice squad but was added to the roster in late November, joining former Cougars Brett Keisel and Chris Hoke on the Pittsburgh defensive line. Nua was inactive for the final six regular-season games and three playoff contests.
