Opening reception Friday, Feb. 17, from 6-9 p.m. during monthly Gallery Stroll.

    A Gallery* (1321 S. 2100 East, 583-4800) — Solo exhibition by Royden Card through February. Artist reception tonight from 6-8.

    Taminah Gallery (608 Main, Park City, 435-655-3265) — Paintings by John Hughes and Greg Wilson through Feb. 22. Opening reception tonight from 6-9.

  • Saturday

    Salt Lake Art Center* (20 S. West Temple, 328-4201) — Main Gallery: "Robert Motherwell — Te Quiero," featuring paintings and drawings from 1950s through the '80s by Motherwell (1915-91), the youngest and most profilic member of the New York school of Abstract Expressionism. Also "Deference to Deffebach," featuring Deffebach's (1928-2005) large abstract paintings. Both exhibits run through May 31. Public reception Friday evening from 6-9.

    Utah Cultural Celebration Center Art Gallery (1355 W. 3100 South, West Valley City) — Eight decades of work by Arnold Friberg, including "The Ten Commandments" series, through April 29.

Anthony's Antiques & Fine Art (402 E. 200 South, 328-2231) — Six paintings by Belgian artist Evariste Carpentier (1845-1921) are on display along with other fine art.

Art Access* (339 W. Pierpont, 328-0703) — "Dual Nature," featuring collographs and oil paintings by Ashley Knudsen, through Feb. 10.
