Sen. Al Mansell has now come out and admitted that his land-use bill is "over the top" and that he never intended to have it pass. It's too bad that there's no law prohibiting legislators from proposing bills that they're not even serious about. Instead we have to deal with officials who waste time during the legislative session just to make a statement. Talk about a great way to serve the public.
