CHRIS HOKE
Team: Pittsburgh Steelers
Pro experience: Fifth NFL season, all with Pittsburgh
Height: 6-foot-3
Weight: 296 pounds
Acquired: Undrafted free agent signee, 2001
College: BYU (1997-2000)
Hometown: Long Beach, Calif.
How he got there: Hoke's steady progression up the NFL ranks has landed him a regular spot along the Steelers' defensive line. Undrafted coming out of BYU in 2001, Hoke was twice released and subsequently re-signed by Pittsburgh, finally sticking with the team in 2003. He didn't see regular playing time, however, until 2004. That season, he started 10 regular-season games after starter Casey Hampton was injured. This season, Hoke is the No. 2 noseguard on the Steelers' depth chart behind Hampton, appearing in 15 of 16 regular-season games and all three playoff contests. Hoke had just six tackles through the regular season but did record a sack in the Steelers' playoff victory at Cincinnati.
