SYRACUSE A 16-year-old boy is in critical condition after being struck head-on in a crash on Antelope Drive.
Police said a 24-year-old Ogden man apparently fell asleep at the wheel early Monday morning, and his pickup truck drifted into oncoming traffic, striking a car driven by Derick Damrong of Syracuse. The teen was flown to University Hospital with severe injuries to his torso, said Syracuse Police Sgt. Mark Sessions.
Police agencies from several cities responded. A Clearfield police car set up to do traffic control for the accident was broadsided by a driver who wasn't paying attention, Sessions said. That accident is under investigation.
