President Gordon B. Hinckley of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is continuing his recovery, according to the latest information available.
Church spokesman Dale Bills said Sunday night that the latest update remains in effect. That bulletin, issued Friday and available on the Internet at lds.org/news, said President Hinckley is recovering on schedule and that doctors are pleased with his progress.
No further update was likely before Monday afternoon.
President Hinckley, 95, was admitted to LDS Hospital on Tuesday after a routine medical screening. Doctors discovered and removed a cancerous growth in his large intestine.
Bills said Tuesday night it was expected President Hinckley will recover rapidly and resume his normal duties.
