911 tape captures Lehi drama
'He's shootin'! He's shootin' at us!' said man who was wounded
LEHI When Craig Trimble called 911, he wasn't certain the man following him Friday morning was armed, but he knew the man owned a gun.
Then the shooting started.
"He's shootin'! He's shootin'! He's shootin' at us!"
Trimble's shouts were followed by the screams of his girlfriend, Natalie Barnes Henderson, and then silence. The only voice left on the line was that of the 911 operator.
"Hello? Can you hear me? I don't have anybody," she said. "I don't have anybody on the phone."

Craig Trimble reports man with gun. Call ends with no response after shots are fired.
Recordings of Trimble's 911 call and those made by witnesses of the shooting Friday morning in Lehi were released to the media Saturday afternoon.
Trimble had been speaking with the 911 operator for 35 seconds before the shots were fired. He had explained that he and Henderson were in a gray Chrysler Sebring and were being chased by a gray pickup truck on 1500 North.
The man chasing them, he told the operator, was Art Henderson, Natalie's ex-husband and a former Lehi police officer.
Lehi police said Art Henderson, 38, used a handgun to shoot Trimble and at Natalie about 9:30 a.m. Friday near 950 W. 1500 North. Police said he then used a rifle to shoot at Lehi police officers.
Two officers then shot Art Henderson in the leg, police said.
Trimble, 37, was taken by helicopter to a Salt Lake hospital with two gunshot wounds one to his abdomen and one to his leg, police said. His wounds were not believed to be life-threatening.
Natalie Henderson, 37, was not injured.
Art Henderson was treated at American Fork Hospital and released into police custody. He was booked into the Utah County Jail about 11:30 p.m. Friday on three counts of attempted aggravated murder, said Lehi Police Sgt. Darren Paul.
A bail hearing for Henderson is set for Monday, at which time those charges may be amended, Paul said.
After the shootings, a wounded Trimble crawled into the home of one witness who called 911.
