As participants in the Bridging the Religious Divide dialogues, we want to thank the Deseret Morning News and Carrie Moore for the article on Jan. 21 and for including the abridged "Open Letter to the Community," written from the insights of the participants. The story was insightful and even-handed in its approach.
Hopefully citizens took the time to read and absorb what was written. If both sides will begin to admit culpability in the problem and strive to understand and nurture each other, we can create the community we all desire.
We would encourage anyone who is interested in creating a more healthy community to take advantages of these ongoing efforts listed at the end of the open letter, found at www.deseretnews.com. The experience will be well worth the journey, both personally and to our state.
