Eccles Community Art Center (2580 Jefferson Ave., Ogden, 392-6935) — Main galleries: "10th Black & White Statewide Competition," featuring works in black and white and gray by Utah artists in all media. Carriage House Gallery: Paintings by Ogden artist Ilona R. Fellows. Both exhibits run through March 25. Opening reception tonight from 7-9.

Freedom Gallery (225 W. Center, Provo) — Artwork by Robert T. Barrett through February. Opening reception tonight from 6-8 during First Friday Gallery Stroll.

Gallery at the Station (Union Station, 2501 Wall Ave., Ogden, 629-8446) — Paintings by Shanna Kunz and jewelry by Kate Holland through February. Opening reception tonight from 6-8.

HORNE Fine Art* (142 E. 800 South, 533-4200) — "Blooms," featuring floral and garden paintings by Traci O'Very Covey, Barbara Edwards, Karen Horne, Phyllis F. Horne, Wilson J. Ong and others. Also "Wall of Wassmers: Celebrating Ted's 96th Birthday," featuring more than 40 works of art by Ted Wassmer. Both exhibits run through March 31.

Julie Nester Gallery (1755 B Bonanza Drive, Park City, 435-649-7855) — "Fiction," featuring art by Tom Judd, through Feb. 26. Artist reception tonight from 5:30-8.

Museum of Utah Art & History (125 S. Main) — "YWCA Centennial HerStory" featuring 100 black and white photographs from the Utah State Historical Society commemorating the organization's 100 year anniversary, through April 16.

Saturday

Utah Museum of Natural History (1390 E. Presidents Circle, University of Utah) — "Human Nature: Insights from the Natural World," featuring paintings by Arlene Braithwaite, through April 26.
