Cincinnati-based Fort Washington Investment Advisors Inc. has been selected by the state of Utah as adviser for the Utah Capital Investment Corp.'s anticipated $100 million Utah Fund of Funds.
The Fund of Funds has been established to help increase the capital available for Utah entrepreneurs, as well as to provide assistance for Utah companies in all stages of business development.
Fort Washington said it will open an office in Salt Lake City that will be managed by an investment professional.
The fund, a state-sponsored private-equity initiative, will make commitments to venture funds that agree to demonstrate a commitment to the state by establishing a presence in Utah and seriously considering investing in Utah-based companies as part of their investment strategy.
