Why did Miller show 'Rent'?

Give me a break. If Randy Davis at Excel thanks Larry Miller for pulling "Brokeback Mountain" and publicly applauds him for taking a "moral" stand (Readers' Forum, Jan. 16), then maybe he should take a closer look at the other movies Miller has presented at his theater. Miller recently showed "Rent," which includes a dancing/performing drag queen who falls in love with another man. How is that movie any different from "Brokeback"?

If Davis feels the need to be a movie critic, he should see a movie before having something critical to say.
