Calling it a "crucial missing piece" of evidence, investigators from the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office continued looking Tuesday for a car belonging to slain World War II hero Steven J. Poulos.
Poulos, 80, was found Saturday on the floor of his Salt Lake County home near 2500 East and 4800 South. He had been shot at least once.
Detectives have been working several leads but say the big break could come by finding Poulos' car, which hasn't been seen since his murder.
Investigators are asking for the public to be on the lookout for a maroon, four-door 1997 Subaru Legacy with California license plate 4KOB631.
Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office at 743-7000.
Poulos is the cousin of well-known auto dealer Gus Paulos, who died of cancer on Jan. 1 at age 64.
