Uncle Walter is in love, and that's the way it is.
Legendary CBS newsman Walter Cronkite, 89, who lost his wife of 65 years to cancer in March, acknowledges that he's "keeping company" with Carly Simon's big sister, "but I'm not making any announcements, as yet."
Opera singer Joanna Simon, 65, and Cronkite live in the same apartment building in Manhattan and have attended events together.
"We are keeping company, as the old phrase used to be," Cronkite said in an interview Sunday at the TV Critics Association's semiannual meeting. "I'm not making any moves immediately. I don't think it's proper. My wife has only been gone less than a year. I'll wait until that year has passed, at least."
